You Got The Love

This is how a cover version is done! Well, actually, I prefer the recorded version-this live version's a bit *pulls funny face*, but I couldn't find the recorded version. It's from the MTV video montage adverts with this song being Florence and the Machine's cover of The Source & Candi Staton's 'You Got The Love'. It's not very often that I prefer a cover to the original (unless it's a version by Mark Ronson) but I've been searching every where for this song.

Anyways, with christmas coming up, I decided to create my visual wish list. Oh how I hope I get a new phone soon. Mine broke the other day (my mum said the timing of it was all too convinient), so I am now borrowing my sister's sh*tty Motorola.

Looking at it now, I wish I'd made it way earlier and left it around the house as that would have increased my chances of actually getting any of them.

I'll try and post a bit more later, but now I'm off. It's my birthday on Tuesday, so I'm going to make something to wear, and I've got my work's Christmas birthday tonight *groans*

I was in the same boat as you ! Heard it on an MTV ad and instinctively knew it was her. Got such a pure distinctive tone of voice, '09 is definatly her year. Oh and the recorded versions on itunes. I never buy songs but had to support her and buy it !
