They Don't Pose Like They Used To
So I came across these pictures of Natalia Vodianova in the May issue of Vogue US channeling Veruschka, Jean Patchett, and Dovima and they reminded me so much of Richard Avedon's work. So I went off to look at some of Richard Avedon's work again.
Whilst looking, I couldn't help but wish that the models of today would pose like that. I don't know what it is, but when I was little-even now-there was something aspirational about about those pictures. When I hear the word "Vogue" I see this,
but instead I am given this
I don't know about you, but everytime I see these pictures I feel the urge to be more chic.

i totally feel the same way. models now are cool, but they aren't like they used to be. many just look alien like and strange, but that is all they bring to the table. no spunk.

that keira cover made me cringe, she looks strange
Haha, that Vogue cover is just an embarassment compared to all those beautiful, glamourous photos!
