Erm... My Graduate Collection

Sorry for the unimaginative title.

I promised to post my graduate collection as soon as it was finished, but in all honesty, when it was all over and done with, I was sick of the sight of it and put it to the back of my mind like a really bad date. I’m not going to get too into it, but I drifted from the original direction I wanted to go in because as a fashion student sometimes you feel you have to compromise your designs to suit others and my final collection ended up looking different to how I imagined it to, but hey, that’s the creative process.

I remember throughout my years at uni, I always wondered if my graduate collection was going to be a career defining one as, say, that of Christopher Kane or William Tempest (clearly it wasn’t) and since graduating, I’ve gone from not wanting to ever see another sewing machine to trying to “find” myself then falling deeply in love with fashion all over again.

I didn’t feel confident with showing my collection on my blog-why? I don’t know. I’m very critical of my work, and if I feel like I could do better, I want to go away and perfect it. However, some good things have come off the back of my collection meaning you guys will be seeing parts of it anyways, so I guessed I might as well share it with you guys.

I’m currently in the process of making another collection so stay tuned for that as well.

(P.s. I didn’t pull a Tom Ford and intentionally put off showing you guys the pictures.)

WAH Nails

I've always had a thing about nails from a young age. It comes from watching my mum do nail art on her fingernails and toenails trying her hardest to keep her hand steady and trying to match her right finger nails to her left. I tend to keep it simple because I simply do not have the patience to do all the nail art myself. Also, as I work in retail, my freshly painted talons usually become chipped by the end of the day.

However, I came across the WAH Nails blog, and now I'm tempted to pay them a visit when they open and get my nails did. If you're in the area, check them out...

Chanel Segway

See. this is the sort of thing I'd expect a WAG to own. I can just picture Alex Curran cruising down the streets of Liverpool now on one of these. I'm not saying I wouldn't take one though (just incase someone's giving them away).

I Makes Money-Chanel Monies

The Count doesn't just make money, he's making money now... literally. As if Chanel Bicycles, Angling gear, and Tennis raquets weren't enough, he's now making his own coins. He recently revealed the limited-edition five Euro coin he designed in France to coincide with Coco Chanel's birthday where one side features Coco Chanel's profile, whilst the other features the infamous Chanel quilting.

I want one.

DSquared2 Don't Play...

Their Banana Heel, Brass Knuckle Heel (my favourite, even though the rest of the boot could have looked a whole lot better) and the Lightning Heel...

Dsquared2 don't play when it comes to their heels.

collabo with Ksubi for his Pastelle line (the line I am still anticipating), which should be unveiled this autummn and now this.
