All the Black Models Were Away on Vacation...
So Vogue Paris decided to black up model Lara Stone.
Scanned by Laetitia@TFS
Apparently there is suppossed to be some artistic meaning to this as the other pictures show her with white cracked skin. My thing is, if the story behind the editorial is not clear and needs to be explaines, then it's a shit editorial. End of. And that gets me just as riled up as black face does.
And now Vogue Paris' sales have just shot up.
Great.

"Smile With Your Eyes
These words will forever be associated with Tyra Banks, and on a photoshoot in NYC the other day, she was doing just that.
[Okay, maybe accept for this picture]
Now everytime I see a picture of Ms Banks, I'm looking too see if she's doing it-after all, she coined the phrase, I want to see if she's practising what she preaches.
I must confess, I've practised how to "smile with your eyes" countless times... there are even tutorials online to help you out.
Unfortunately it never translates in photographs. And that my friends, is why Ms Banks is a model, and I am not.

Rihanna Does Fashion Week
So, as I stated previously, I was on Rihanna watch during Paris fashion week, and I must say her(her stylists) choices in outfits definately out there. I love and appreciate how much thought and effort went into her looks for PFW, but I wish it were more reigned in like last year.
My favourite looks out of all of them were the (October 2nd)Vivienne Westwood blazer and camel colour boots, (October 4th) Karl Lagerfeld jumpsuit and the Hussien Chalayan dress and boots combo.

Expecting Fashionista's
It annoys me when expecting mother's don't dress to their full potential or simply just dress innapropriately. A baby bump is a beautiful thing, but there is a time and a place to be walking around with yours exposed with just a bikini top and a pair of 3/4 length sweat pants. Mid afternoon on a South London high street just isn't one of them (I have actually seen that before. And I'm pretty sure social service's were waiting with their arms stretched when that baby flew out of the womb).
I don't actually think I have seen pregnant women at fashion week before up until now, so whilst scrolling through Jak & Jil, it was refreshing to see ladies who won't allow a baby bump to hinder their fabulosity...

Paris Fashion Week S/S 10: My Picks
Paris Fashion Week is the one we all wait for, and whilst you could clearly see that some people where experiencing a recession of creativity (or creativity crunch), others did not dissapoint.
Chanel
Giambattista Valli
Alexander McQueen
Bruno Pieters
Givenchy
Hermes
Karl Lagerfeld
Sophia Kokosalaki
Lanvin
Stella McCartney
Valentino
Viktor & Rolf
My favourites were both the Alexander McQueen and the Viktor & Rolf show. It was nice to see a collection that didn't look like it's creator had been studying the same trend book as everybody else.
